Offline, it's a tie between the Fareye and the Splicer. The Fareye is godlike when you're surrounded or at a range, but a single Splicer blade (alt-fired) can kill a Titan on its own on normal difficulty. It takes two on anything higher. XD Priceless.Online?
Well, I don't really play R2 online any more, since the weapon balance is atrocious. There's no point in ever picking up anything but the Carbine, since Bullseye tags seem to miss randomly and every other gun is either far, far too weak or somehow else toned down to the point of being ruined. (Like not being able to fire your Wraith with your shield up, for example.). QUOTE='Medeia, post: 0Offline, it's a tie between the Fareye and the Splicer. And if you're decent at sniping then you could do very well with the Fareye.I do agree that the weapon balancing is pretty messed up right now, overall.
But there's definitely a number of weapons you can use right now and do well with. I didn't mention the Fareye because the Fareye is a situational weapon; on a smaller map it's just a bad idea. The Carbine seems to be the only well-balanced (I might argue that it's over-balanced) weapon in the entire online game. The Bullseye is close, but the tags are horribly unreliable, and hit for hit it's too weak when compared to the Carbine. The Wraith's wind-up time is a deal breaker in many situations, and its secondary fire is utterly useless if you're not facing the enemy from the front with no intention of firing back. They crippled it online. If you manage to catch people off-guard from behind, or while they're in firefights, then it's fantastic. But if they see you first, you're probably screwed. There's no much reason to use anything other than 'default' guns if you're not sniping.
4198d agoThey did not get rid of the Hedgehog. I haven't seen any confirmation of the Reapers returning. The 'scout semi-automatic sniper rifle' is called the Marksman.I haven't heard anything new about the spider grenade since the first Gamepro magazine reveal. The description from it is as follows.' Based on stolen Chimeran technology, the new Spider grenade vomits up a great glob of black ooze, which grows in an ever-expanding radius. The spider web-like tendrils grow up walls, across floors, and even into windows as they burn like napalm.'
For Resistance 2 on the PlayStation 3, Enemy/Weapon Guide by GunbladeBeserkr. They either come equipped with a green shield or a powerful beam weapon. They go down easy with a headshot from a Fareye or Marksman. Otherwise, these enemies make for a good chance to practice.
